Start your day with a visit to Floréal Town, explore various shops and boutiques and indulge in some retail therapy too. A great place to buy souvenirs and gifts for your loved ones. After shopping, head to Trou aux Cerfs, the dormant volcano located in Curepipe. Take a leisurely stroll around the crater and enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding area.
Next, visit the Grand Bassin, the sacred lake, which is an important pilgrimage site for Hindus in Mauritius. Take some time to admire the religious statues and the serene atmosphere of the lake. Proceed to Alexandra Falls found deep in the jungle and discover the scenic viewpoint. Enjoy the breathtaking view and the sound of cascading water. It’s a perfect spot for nature lovers and photographers.
Visit the Black River Gorges National Park, specifically the viewpoint. Marvel at the lush greenery and the natural beauty of the national park, the best place to capture the scenic landscape.
Head to Rhumerie de Chamarel, a rum distillery located in the Chamarel region. Take a guided tour to learn about the rum-making process and enjoy some tastings of locally produced rum. It’s time for a delicious lunch, you can make a choice among many restaurants and make sure to try some local delicacies.
After lunch, proceed to visit the 7 Coloured Earth at Chamarel known for its unique geological feature. Witness the fascinating-colored sands created by the volcano. Also, visit the Chamarel Waterfall, which is the highest waterfall in Mauritius. Take your time and enjoy the natural beauty of the area.
